Know when your chats are connecting
Connection status is clearer, read receipts update without reopening a chat, and videos with sound send more reliably.
Why it matters
When your connection drops, it helps to know what's happening. The Messages header now shows when Lets is connecting or updating chats. Returning to the app restores the connection and refreshes the data.
We've fixed read-receipt updates in the chat list, so a confirmed read no longer needs you to reopen the conversation. A separate requests row appears only when there are incoming requests. Sent requests are still available from the menu.
We've also fixed a bug that stopped some videos with sound from sending, and checked sending and playback between iPhone and Android. On Android, typing and opening the keyboard trigger fewer unnecessary history updates, while keeping your draft and reading position.
These fixes are included in closed beta 0.1.2 for iPhone and Android. We're continuing to test chats across devices and unreliable connections.
