Finding something new in Explore is easier
Search and recommendations now have clearer states, with separate views for posts, photos, videos, longreads, people, and topics.
Why it matters
Open Explore and you will see one recommendation followed by a separate collection. Search stays close at hand, while six scopes narrow the results to posts, photos, videos, longreads, people, or topics.
Browsing, an empty search, and an active query now look different. Selecting a scope does not resize it, and longer labels do not move neighboring controls.
Large post collections load as you scroll. In the gallery, horizontal swipes no longer compete with the page's vertical movement, and page indicators stay clear of the photos.
We checked this on an iOS simulator with a local server, including the largest text size. Recommendation quality, pagination, Android, and physical touch remain separate checks.
